I had a thought.... (yes i did!) .. with Fuel type overtones...

Movie, The Fastest Indian .. at Bonneville the old chap takes his heart tablet (nitroglycerin as they used to use/still use?) .. and also puts a 'nitro' pill in the tank of the bike before his run ...

would this work? ... has anyone tried it? ... if it would work then what kind of performance gain/modification (if any) would happen or was he after?

Nitroglycerin like a lot of chemicals has many different uses according to concentration/volume , application intended and method of delivery .. (same as high spurts of nitrous oxide makes vehicles go fast but low spurts makes pain go away temporarily at hospitals) ..

thats my "Can of Worms" for the day  :thumb:

A pill poppin GS? Poor bike doesn't have arms to scratch itself when it gets the itches from withdrawals

yeah true... but would it go ripping off stereos from cages for the next fix?  ;)

years ago my ex-Brother In Law had a TL1000 .. did 'some jets and some stuff' to it .. but i wasnt listening properly .. however he also used to mix in some Methyl Benzine with the fuel to 'improve' things .. from memory it was 150ml of Benzine to 10 litres of fuel but that could be way off...

the bike did go pretty hard .. and had lovely note from the twin full bore Yoshi's

i suppose Methyl Benzine and Nitroglycerin both have been used in some form as an attempt to go faster... how effective.. dunno..

Dont reckon Benzedrine would be any good though ... bike would be way too twitchy, highly strung and prone to running across 4 lane freeways at random!!  :icon_rolleyes:

Speaking of adding stuff to fuel, do you guys run additives in your gas? ive been told that star-tron is pretty good and to run a mixture in your tank all the time.  :dunno_black: Thoughts?
Rub some dirt in it, you'll be fine!

Mine the type of GS that would be sticking a leg out on a street corner. Total hussy.

I used to put a shot of upper cylinder lube in the tank every now n again keeping that upper cylinder lubed up nice n lubricated
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

I add nothing in my fuel. I've been inside every engine I've ever owned and never seen the need of it

I used to drop .50mg of xanax in the Tank of my zx-636.

She was twitchy, clicky, like to rev really high. It smoother out her power band and made her more manageable.

Xanax you say ... Hmmm .. Is that castrol or Exxon? ... And do they make a similar product for Missus-es?  ;) :D
