I had a few people wonder about my Rx-2 gauge set up I put on my bike. I figured I would start this thread so people would know a little more about it. The gauge set up is pretty awesome in my mind. It is a universal set up. First off the bracket is not wide enough to adapt it to the top triple clamp, a bracket could be made easily though. I have a GS500F so I drilled two holes inside of my fairing and mounted it that way. But the wiring is pretty simple. The diagram is easy to follow and the only thing I used was a 12v test light. But after wiring Neutral, Lt and Rt turn signals, oil pressure light, and brights light, the only thing left is running one wire from the battery's positive post up to the gauge. (for the gauge's memory, just like a radio.) Now there is two ways off doing the speedo portion of it. right now mine is set up with the magnet pick up that came with it. Pretty much you put the magnets, that it comes with, into the front disc brake bolts. Now you have to mount the magnet pick-up bracket and mine is temporary but is clamped with hose clamps on my strut. I didn't expect it to work as well as it has but if hasn't budged at all and I have yet to have a problem with it. I'm currently waiting on the adapter for the end of the stock speedo cable. (it transforms the mechanical cable rotation into the electrical signal the gauge needs) After the gauge is fired up the first time you go inside the setting screens and change the time, your shift light spot, enter in the circumference of your front tire, and tell it to give you mph instead of kph. The gauge has the capability of doing fuel gauge, water temp, and oil pressure, if you know how to set those up more power to you. I choose not to on my bike. After playing around with it, it has a lot of cool features, don't like the color of gauge? It has seven different colors to pick from. It also so power test screen, and I love the clock because I seem to always be running a lil late for work lol. If you have any questions feel free to ask, and you can see the gauge in action on youtube.

Thanks. I love it, but not to that extent. Maybe on a more expensive bike, that's half what I paid for mine

Haha fair enough the studs were broken on the back off my gauges, the faster I would go the more the gauge literally spun

I just finished installing the DB-01R gauge on my bike. Love how easy the wiring was! the instructions were surprisingly simple. Total install took about and hour, most of which was tidying up. I made a custom mounting plate to hold it in the original gauge location and it's awesome! Easy to see, and nice and small. Koso makes a great product! The DB-01R runs 180-ish.

Nice, I just installed this on my front end swap. I took a few pics and put it in a thread a few days ago.

Visibility in the sun is good, that was my only concern I thought I might have with it.

I'm not sure which i like more, the gauge or the "don't f%$king die" on the tank. I think a gauge like this will be the first official mod to my 06 gs500f.

Soloratov, can you post pictures of your gauge set up?
I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.

Jacob, don't want to hijack this thread so go here for a small build update:

hey sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm installing the same thing. The speed pickup adaptor, I hate the magnet idea. Does anyone know which adaptor fits, seems their website has a bunch of them but don't really give any info on what they are?

thanks buds.
