I have been looking at exhaust options for my 2010 model, one place I went to recommended a motorcycle exhaust shop that can modify the standard muffler for a better sound adding it wont attract the attention of the local Highway Patrol as it looks stock. This place is well known and does a good job apparently, anyone heard of this being done?

How does that compare price wise to getting an aftermarket can?
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Most aftermarket cans come with removable baffles. With it in it is similar to the stock sound. Remove it for a sportier sound.

you'll loose power, and likely need some rejetting, and have to wear earplugs...

but ok, yes it will work. if it were me, id look for a vance&hines and rejet it. very mild, very low note, without annoying the neighbors.

by the way, it will sound like a lawnmower still, just louder.

I have cored my can and done a rejet. The bike performs so much better although most likely due to rejetting and not so much the exhaust. Right now I have no baffle and personally I like the sound but it is a good bit louder. I do have plans to make a baffle for it when I have more time. It's cheap enough to core if you have the tools and some spare materials and a lot of curse words to spare.

I will find out the exact price in a few days when I get a chance to drop in and see them, don't want a loud lawn mower sound and don't wont to annoy the neighbour's
