Interesting. Looked like a front brake lock but there would be no reason for it there? :dunno_black:
I am not interested in anything you have to say
Don't bother talking to me, I will not answer you

yamahonkawazuki

perhaps braking for an upcoming stop and maybe a bit of oil on road?

Nah, he was passed the rear tail light when it happened. If that was the case the bike would have slammed into the truck box.

I think adidas is on to something  :icon_lol:

I'd go with Pliskin.  He's well on his way down when he enters frame.  And he's obviously hurt his right hand.

Minor highside from locking and releasing the rear?

Janx101

i still dunno ... but did a few mins of pauseplaypauseplaypauseplay etc through the 2-5 second marks... the lad seems to be ejecting forward almost before the bike front wheel turns right and bike leans left before everything hits the deck ..

mmm... rear brake and let clutch out suddenly (having shifted into 1st?) .. stutter/lockup by rear wheel and hands not fully gripping bars .. so he does the superman.. then as his brain catches up he grabs the right again as he goes over the top??  :dunno_black:

theres a mechanical CLACK CLUNK just before/right as he launches too??... dont think its the bike of the vlog dude?

.... and its STILL a kawasaki!!  :flipoff:

i think janx is right..guy had an oh shaZam! i wasn't paying attention moment. combo of downshift, rear brake, and too much front brake did him to to do a flying wallendas impersonation. as his buddy asked "what happened" and he said "i don't know" of course he didn't. happened to fast. latter on he probably realized what he did. the clank/clunk was most likely the forks bottoming from the fast stop and the rear brake locked up.

Yeah, I'm thinking a long the same lines. that clunk sound to me sounds like its form the bike that crashed.  Maybe coming up way fast on stopped traffic and slams rear brakes? Clearly he did not make contact with the truck until after the crash (when tire hit truck tire).

So I'm thinking something with braking, maybe even he locked up rear brake and it started to sling him and he then grabbed front brake which finished him off? If you notice he shacks his wrist, so had to be some forced applied be for going over bars.

I like how everyone in the vid carried on as if it was a normal occurrence. No sympathy for squids.

Of course if he had hit the speed bump at that speed he would've just gotten some sweet air  :icon_lol:

Most of the speed bumps around DE were low enough that it was within the travel of the shocks... so no problem on a bike. Just stand on the pegs and keep going the speed limit. I honestly haven't seen one of them around here though. Maybe that's what the potholes are for. WV is a weird place  :cookoo:

Very nice youTube-find, though I suspect this is one is special to me for reasons not many here will share:

It's the guys from Drive, taking a look at the Spa Francorchamps 24 hour race.
Less famous than the Nurburgring or Le Mans, but also an epic race.

Reason why it's special to me:  Spa's my favourite track in the world.  Yes, I'm a bit of a chauvenist, but it really is spectacular.
I go there every year for this event.

This documentary also has some pretty good photography.  Watch fullscreen in HD ;)
