Sledge has corrected me before... I humbled myself, and appreciated the check... edited my post and noted the change to accomodate the correction...

He has an eye for details that get overlooked, and is technical with his replies and information... this forum needs the balance he mentions above. Just know that corrections come across in a personal direction on their own, and that additional wording puts those who are corrected on the defence. On the other hand, a delicately worded correction (so as to not offend anyone) would be more likely to get overlooked and would carry less weight... it can be a double-edge sword and no one has the time to mess with wording everything just right so that both sides cut straight... So try not make it personal, and accept other angles.  Check the validity yourself, and add to the topic without making things personal.

Folks should be able to come to the GS500 forum to get well informed answers and information regarding GS500s.  There is enough misinformation out there already, and this site doesn't need to add to it.  With that, it still happens.. and I don't see any problem with corrections unless they are attacks.. it devalues the site albeit, its fun watch...

Though, it is funny that many, if not a majority, of Sledge's posts of late get returned with much rebuttal... accept that as minimal the concern may be to you, that to someone who does not know anything about a topic other than replies to a post on a forum, that it probably would be a major concern to them that would get overlooked... and some situations that overlooked bit of info could be dangerous... it sounds incredibly naive, but it happens...

Everyone has a role who participates... you create your own, in fact... and your role you created will change over time

No no BBoy, we are all to take things personally and raise bloody hell.

And here - in the Land of Oz and Prime Ministerial frolics - comes the Chinese siht big time. Yup, Suzi Oz is bringing you the 250 Inazuma at $4,990 drive woops! ride-away. Meanwhile the boys and girls at the Spanish factory are farewelled with a few euros, a clock for the mantlepiece,  and off they go into a wonderful Iberian industrial future. Still, so long as the Beijing boys are looked after............

It don't get any better for the Spaniard's. Derbi motorcycles in Spain  - owned by Piaggio - closed its factory this week after 90 years of production. About 100 workers on the street. Cold winds blowing through the Euro Zone this month indeed.

Looking like they will be built in China from now on.
