For about 15 miles or so. Got to try out some of the new gear i just got, which was nice.

I have to say though, going almost 4 months without riding sure does dull the senses/ reaction time. I'm not nearly as comfortable as i was at the end of last season. Hopefully this weather sticks out and we can be done with winter. I need a good few hundred miles before i'm ready to hit the track.
I found myself with bad posture and leaning on the bars far too much. Reaction time wasn't as quick and all around i feel "out of practice".

Wish i could have logged a few more miles, but it got a bit chilly, and with "after work" traffic starting to flood the roads i thought it best to turn in for the night.

On the gear front, i just picked up a Teknic Chicane Leather jacket, and its brilliant. Absolutely fantastic. Fits wonderfully, feels great on the bike, and despite the "race cut" tightness, i never felt bound up.
The Teknic Lightning Gloves were nice. Going to take some getting used to though. They are full gauntlet "race" style, and there is just alot more material than the older Spidi Street/Short gloves i had. I liked the extra protection, but the extra bulk will take a few rides. I will say that on the comfort side they are much much better than the Spidi's.

I also just got a pair of Chicane boots as well.
Over all, i like them, but the toe box is bigger than what i'm used to. I found myself actively thinking about shifting while wearing them. Also missed a few up-shifts  because i just couldnt point my foot far enough down to reset the gear lever. That was aggrivating. Not only that, but the last thing i need to be focused on is shifting while i'm riding. In the sense that i have to think to point my foot more and whether im under the shifter, etc. The other "street" boots i have have a smaller and narrower toe box. I'm hoping its just something i'll get used to, though i was wondering if a new set of pegs might by me that extra 1/4 inch i need to position my foot properly. Opinions?

GSXR pegs will bring your foot down enough to fix the problem it sounds like your having. But then you might have to reposition your brake lever which is not too bad, but does take some getting used to. Glad you finally got to ride today! I went for a good ride today too!!
I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.
