The SV650 runs 120/60 front and 160/60 rear. I recently purchased a 4.5" rim (now both rims on my GS are the same as on a SV, 3.5" and 4.5") I know it would be pretty tough to installl a 160 so how about 150/60 and a 120/60. Is there a reason why no one puts this combo on their bikes? I here alot of talk about different sizes for the rear, but never much about the front. To me it makes sence to have the front and rear match. Or am I just way off here?

Did you change your front wheel? I thought the stock GS front wheel was 3 " or 3 1/4"?

A lot of the racing riders are running 120 rubber on the front on a GSXR rim or other bike when they swapped front ends.

The stock front rim is 3". The rear is 3.5 stock. The 4.5 rim is perfect for a 150 tire. I'd stick with a 110 up front.
I have the 110/150 combo on the stock rims and they work great.

The best sticky tires you can get for the GS ;)
Not the cheapest, just the best.

I guess I was under the imprssion that the stock was a 3.5 in front. Ok so shoulf I go with 110/70 and a 150/60? Suggestions?

If you do go with the 110/150, Pirelli is offering a "Buy a rear tire, get a front free" deal on its Diablo street tire...

The Pirelli offer is for a free "120" front, not a 110. Maybe if you contacted them they would do the deal on a 110.
Even when you search for Dunlops they never show a 110 or for that matter a 150 ( at least in the GPs).
I get mine from Sport Tire Service. They come to the races and supply tires.

Whatever tires you get-- go for the lower profile( like 110-70 instead of 110-80)

You can get D205s in 110/70...

Not better, just cheaper!
