My Overkill Toolkit

Those of you who have been reading between the lines a little have probably realized I've essentially been living off of what I can fit on the back of my bike for the past year, plus a bit of accumulation in specific places. I've generally carried around a full socket set, full wrench set, and pair of torque wrenches plus a lot of misc. tools wherever I went so I can do needed work on my bike. I don't like breaking up my tool sets. NO LONGER!

I've just built myself a nice big toolkit so I don't need to carry around so much anymore (I would cram 150 lb+ of gear on my bike including tools on longer trips, and I'm 170-180 with gear on and ~200+ after I'm soaked through... rear tire is not happy!)

Hand tools:

8mm nutdriver, 10,11,12,13,14,15,17,19,22mm wrenches, snapring plier (front sprocket), #2, #2 stubby, 1/4 flat screwdrivers, slipjaw pliers, hex keys

Misc:

Air pump, plug kit, form-a-gasket, fuel line, Electrical tape, vacuum caps, spare bulbs, multimeter, air gauge, multitool (round nose pliers, knife, screwdriver+bits, file, etc)

Random extra:

Nylon webbing, zip ties, and electric glowstick/flashlight

Tetris:

Closed, 6" caliper for scale:

Width is just about perfect to fit in my sidebag. Should save me a lot of room and a good 20 lbs or more.

So... thoughts? Am I missing anything important? I know I need an 8mm wrench for the brake bleeders, and I know I have a little bit extra as far as hand tools but I opted for a more complete set so I could help someone else if need be.

I see you have tire plugs but no way to inflate them. 12v air pumps can be kind of big, but I recently got a CO2 pump from Dennis Kirk for about $25. The pump and the cartridges might still fit in your tool box.....
83 GR650 (riding / rolling project)

It's opener there in the wide open air...

I would add some disposable gloves, a few feet of electrical wire and small containers of handcleaner and degreaser. The handcleaner could be a small packet of wet wipes.

Also, glass bulbs are likely to get broken. LED replacements might be a better idea. However if you are going to that trouble maybe just change the existing bulbs to more reliable and longer lived LEDs and ditch the spares.
Wherever you may be, there you are.

Zwerski

If you're looking to cut down on the tools needed, you can replace many hex bolts with allen head bolts.

Got an air pump in there already, it's in the pics.

Hand cleaner = pants.

Electrical wires would be a good idea. I have a pair of test leads I can throw in.

I may upgrade to LED bulbs in the future, but I have more important things to throw money at for now.
