Anybody have or ridden one of these? There's quite a number of them in/around Atlanta for sale that I've been seeing. Thinking about picking one up.

Was wondering how highway worthy they are, if at all. Comfort?

I once rode my KLR650 almost 400mi on the highway. Was an interesting experience.

Kijona, you're a pretty big guy, aren't you?

Search around on ADVRider - those guys know every detail about the DR's.
83 GR650 (riding / rolling project)

It's opener there in the wide open air...

Formerly, lol. I weighed 340lbs at one point.

I'm 5'11 or 6', depending on what I got on my feet, haha! I weigh 175lbs.

I still have my 07 GS. I really miss my XR250 (86 model), and I'd love something comparable that's street legal.

couple mates have DRZ400's'es ... they love them for around town and street to bush track day trips... i have noticed them often standing on the pegs for a few hundred meters after 45min or so though... but i think any standard dirtbike seat is gonna give you that numb-bum/legs situ?? ..

far as i am aware the 350 was just the predecessor .. so same same? for ride comfort.. just a bit more power now..

highway worthy?... yeah guess so.. the lads have done 250-300 km round trips on them for a day .. pretty revvy though... with standard sprockets ..

((my old xr350 i had years ago... when i bought it it had a 40 on the back and whatever was standard on the front .. i kept the front standard (but new) and changed the rear to a 46 .. which changed the overall WOT speed from 142 km/h down to 128 km/h .. and in know road vs dirt is different... but it pretty much cracks me up when i see road riders talking about +1/-1 tooth ... that crap is for track fine tuning!!))

just get one Kij !!... you know you wont sleep well till you have it in your hot little hands!  ;)  :icon_twisted:

Wow! I don't know whether to be offended or flattered...haha!

But yeah, good info. I never had my XR up to the upper end, it was far too beat up and didn't have a usable front brake. Anything above indicated 50mph felt like it was going to go into a tank slapper.

The riding position on my KLR was great...but the seat literally felt like a piece of plywood with about half an inch of foam on it. Horrible.
