Hi,

I found a bike being sold locally pretty cheap without title.

would you guys buy it? I figured it would be good for parts etc.

any thoughts? should i not do this because of the lack of title?

i could also part it out to some folks on the forums.

thanks!

No opinion without more info:
1. Price?
2. Pix?

No-title is fine for a parts bike. You can run the VIN and see if stolen (if you care).

Agreed with adidas here. if it IS clean ( not stolen) you can sometimes find a titled frame at a decent price. ( all depends on the bike)

maybe - but a lost title is so easy to replace. Take current license registration to a licensing office and pay the fee to get the title replaced.
Wimpy excuse to drop the price to $400 for what should be $900-$1400 depending on condition of motor.

Walk away with it for $300-$400 and have parts. We never saw the VIN. What bike? I don't see any bike here! I have parts, never had a frame. What? It was stolen? I have no idea what bike you're talking about. Craig's List? What's that?

He says " lost tile hence the cheap price" if it was registered in his name, it will be an easy fix. if not, you can find a titled frame like this one

don't bother getting a title, part it out/stick it in the corner of your garage for parts later on. Don't forget cook county will hit you up for $175 bucks for their "Non-retailer Use Tax" (if you do title it)! I just got one for my other motorcycle earlier this month  :technical:  Agreed with making sure it's not stolen first though.

Yeah unfortunately i don't have a garage. Just a parking spot in a garage :) I'll have to find a place to store it. I thought that titling it was impossible since i didn't have a title already from the PO.
