Good day/eve to you all! This is my first post on the forum, so firstly I'd like to say hello to you all!

I own a 1994 GS500E, and much to my dismay I need a few bits for her. The reason for the tinkering was due to an ungodly rattle / knock at over 3k RPM. Our troubles started when whilst trying to remove the head from my bike, it turns out the manual lies to you and you cannot remove the head without removing the engine! Not fancying that massively we decided to just 'drop' the engine out of the frame onto some wood, not a bad idea we thought.

HOWEVER! Whoever had the bike prior to myself had obviously done some out-of-this-world handywork on her. Hohoho, it was an absolute pleasure to work on. (Sarcasm off). The Exhaust bolts were shredded to buggery, and had to be DRILLED out, the engine mount bolts were stuck on one side and had to be cut off! And after figuring out the manual lies etc we decided to take out the engine to find the source of my rattling engine. Now on to the barrels. After a few knocks with a rubber hammer we thought they should become free, but oh how we were wrong. I looked online at an engine dissasembly video, where the lovely American lady simply 'slid' off her barrels! We thought we must have missed a hidden bolt or something! But no, it seems the barrels were GLUED to the crank.

So, after finally removing the engine and having her securely rested on some bits of 2x4 I decided to enlist the help of a dear friend to prise the buggers off! All in all it took around 7 HOURS to get them off, quite different to the way she just slid them off on the video, eh? (obviously some bugger had removed her dowels and just put it back on the crank!) It took both of our combined weights on either end of barrels to lift it off, that's me being 14 stone and him around 13, a fair amount of force anyway!

Sorry for story time, but I thought I may aswell semi-introduce myself eh!

I am after the following pieces:

Full Gasket Set
Barrels
Big End shells
A front engine mounting stud
New cam chain & possible slipper plates!

OR, a fully functioning engine to fit the bike!

Regards, Carl :woohoo:
