Hi Guys,
Thought I'd let you all know that I came to grief, on a twisty ride on the road to Noojee. All is well, a little rib damage and a bump on the head....in fact I'm feeling a little smarter now!  :cookoo:
Not sure what happened.  :dunno_black: Perhaps I touched the brake when the bike didn't want me to? Anyway, I was able to ride it home and after a suitable period of feeling sorry for myself, organised to get it fixed. Gotta say, Insure My Ride were fantastic. Picked it up, got it assessed and got back to me on consecutive days. Their verdict...a write off!! I was amazed. Thought it would be just new fairings, mirror and indicators. However, there was some other damage that you wouldn't bother with if you were not going through insurance. The bloke said that it all just added up.
I was pleased because I would have got much less for a trade-in in normal circumstances (due to the Suzuki new-price reduction).
Yesterday...I bought a Triumph Bonneyville. I was seduced by the classic character.
I just want to thank you all for the advice and support that you have shown on this forum, particularly Macka and Mister. It's been such a bonus for this noob.

Glad you are ok and the insurance gave you what you needed.
Great choice in bike :thumb:
I am not interested in anything you have to say
Don't bother talking to me, I will not answer you

Great to hear a good thing about insure my ride.
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Thanks for dropping in to let us know.

Glad it all worked out for the best for you.

You know, just cause you don't have a GS anymore doesn't mean you can't still come here and talk crap  :thumb:

Hey Hughesy, glad to hear that you are OK and sad to hear that your GS, a twin to mine, has gone to bike heaven. It is shocking how quickly the cost adds up after a fall. I am still happy to ride with you anytime but might have to work a little harder to keep up with a Bonny. Enjoy your new bike and stay safe.

Glad to hear you're ok Hughesy, dropping it is never fun. Bugger on the write off, a guy at work had a GS he had written off for similar reasons a little while back but that was what he wanted too. I had a good experience with IMR also when I got rear ended, they seem to look after you pretty well  :thumb:

Pic's of the Bonny? Got a soft spot for them... my personal preference is the Scrambler though...
