What should I offer?

Ok so my gs500 needs a motor I posted an wanted ad and received this reaponse should I try to buy or should I save myself a headache I just want my bike running!   


I have a complete 1981 Suzuki GS450T that has about 2500 miles on it (previous owner swore it was actual milage, and it looks like itwhen it's cleaned up). It needs carb work, a battery, and has a minor oil leak (needs new cylinder gasket or re-torqued). I have a complete engine gasket set for the bike, but never changed the cylinder gasket. Most of the other engine seals have already been replaced.
The bike will run if jump started, but requres the choke to be left on to run properly.
