**NOTE**
It's not plug and play. You will need to grind a little bit off your swing arm or the bottom of the spring will rub it.
This is incorrect information Pliskin.
I installed the Red Spring R6 Shock and DID NOT have to grind the swingarm for it to fit properly (Not all bikes require the grinding).
The Silver/Black R6 shock has a smaller spring and should not interfere with the swingarm at all. :thumb:
Mine is red and I had to grind. So, seeing how I have a stock GS and the R6 did not fit It's safe to say the some grinding may be necessary on some GS's. Most others can contest to this fact. BTW, mine mounted in fine with the rear at full drop. But compressed it was rubbing a tad bit. Even after grinding I have about 1mm clearance. It cannot be considered PNP. Buyers should do a little research first just to be safe.

Still, even with grinding or not, it's a good easy upgrade.
Why are you looking here?

Mine is a black spring. Had to install from the top.  No grinding but has about 1mm gap.

dont have a R6 shock... but... IIRC from seeing mentions of it... it seems more the individual bike and swingarm and shock units PLUS individual perception of what is "too close" ... rather than 'you have to/dont have to' ...

i dunno... small changes in casting/welding/bearing wear etc ...

when any one person changes it... it'll either be GTG or need a touch with a file or grinder... so long as it gets in there and you lose the cadillac bounce of the stocker!!  :thumb:
