OK has the buddha lost his mind ?

Apparently.

OK Some Jonway POS 50cc wont start.
Its got 1 missing carb top screw.

It needs a valve adjustment - likely, but apparently it has started with a good battery but not the crappy one ... WTF is a crappy battery doing in it in the first place - no clue.
Kick starter - broken off - just as well, I aint kicking nothing.

Any one has an extra insight into these ?

Cool.

So what mikuni choke fits in it ?
Out of the GS ? If so - any preference - 89-00 vs 01-02 vs 04+ ?

OOooo I need to get mikuni for it - like made for that motor.
Not shove the mikuni choke off the GS carbs in it ... that sucks cos the bloody mikuni boogers are $$$$$ ...
I'll see what I can do on this POS then.

find a better manual choke carb same size. IIRC the manifold ( usually plastic) is on top of engine head. find a mikuni ( my preference lol) on ebay. even a trashed one and clean it. will make a HUGE difference on those.

I bought a non running 150cc Chinese scooter for the wife once.

Carb needed cleaning, several vac lines needed replacing, removed cheap vac petcock, valves needed adjusting and as said earlier, replaced the crap electric choke

After adjusting the valves, it was a turn key scooter. Getting rid of the petcock eliminated fuel starvation at anything over 50-55mph.

TONS of scooter parts all over the net and eBay. Good thing is they area dime a dozen and all parts are cheap

no mikunis made for the chinascooters. just have to measure the venturi,  and jet sizes, and find a mikuni or ANYTHING not chinese. and swap it in. youd be the better man for it. youd be ALOT happier

OK I am getting it to crank like a mofo, but not make a peep ... and the exhaust no gas smell ...
The next to check - valve clearance, compression and spark.

Then the carb comes off.

I am not throwing in the towel ... and buying a 70 buck carb yet ...
I may get the CVK keihein ... cheaper than mikuni. I'll keep you posted.

Cool.

OK this bugger seems to not want the spark plug to thread in right and seems to be puffing out the plug hole.
The petcock doesn't seem to want to flow ... its vacuum operated ... and What a POS ... though I think a mid 80's honda may fit that ...

And the carb was full of fuel ...
And WTF is that drain ? the hose has a pinch on the bottom, that's what's keeping it from draining mid ride ? WTF ...

I may have to give up on it ... it may be a lost cause. Fool has another scooter ... maybe the spark plug on that will not puff ...

I dont do that ...
Most people that abuse bikes or cars or anything else for that matter fail to realise that it is an inanimate object. It may be a badly made and badly designed object, but still it is an object.

Anyway I will see why the plug dont thread in - it did day before yesterday.

It threaded fine day before. I found it wasn't clipping onto the cap. I had to open the cap and modify the clip ... I had to make an all new one in fact ...
I dunno the guy said it didn't thread in ... then we managed to get it in a month ago ... then it wont again.

with my 250 china scooter i learned quite a bit.  one guy said 'dont buy a chinese bike unless you want to be a chinese bike fixing genius.'  I'd still get another one.  Actually I still have a scooter to fix, sooner or later.  Plug on that one is an oddball that I can't seem to find.  Backordered from scootersomething website two months ago,....

OK this a new one ...
WTF is a fuel line type metal receptacle doing right under the actual fuel line fitting and what goes to it ?

Its nearly back to running ... except that and the Idiotic spark plug helicoil debacle. As in some fool put a helicoil in the plug, and they only helicoiled the deepest part ... WTF - cant they put 2 ... couldn't they have put it in the outermost 6 instead of the inner most 6.

Cool.
