my friend is interested in buying it but the extended end makes me think something is fishy.

Any other thoughts?

Won't do twisties very well. Kind of ugly. handling probably really bad.
OK if you want to do drag strips.
Once you mess with the designed geometry of a bike, you might as well consider it junk UNLESS the person doing it knew what they were doing and did it for a specific reason.
This bike would be a poor choice for Seattle except for I-5 and I-90.

I like it but way outta my budget,...

thanks for the replies. I also am telling him not to get the bike. He is going to try and make the guy lower the price by 800 and make it back to stock or leave it as is and give him the parts and bike for 1000+ dollars less.

Everyone around here rides stretched. I know a lot of people don't like them but its preference. Almost everyone I ride with has some sort of stretch. A few have blocks. The rest have custom swing arms. Its just how it is around here.

As for price....it's fair. I would say a bit high but that's only because my 06 GSXR 1000 with 9700 miles, full Yoshi exh and a Power Commander was 4900

I was also going to say it's a touch high. I would say more like $4k even. Believe it or not, in the eyes of most true Motorcycle enthusiasts, modifications like that actually lower the value. People will pay more for completely stock most of the time.

he has since bought a 2006 grey CBR 600cc! :icon_eek:
