In my opinion only about 25 to 50 miles.  I progressively lean the bike farther as I go.  Starting out easy at first.

hey mes....
what made you choose the bt45 over the metz?
and did you get them in stock size?

i chose the bt45s over the mezt's  because about a week ago or so someposted about the bt45's being the best out there. there were alot of people who agreed saying it helped there riding. so i thought i give it a shot. but no there not stock size. there 140/70, i was going to opt for the 150/70 but i heard about some recent horror stories  :(

Why doesn't anybody put on the stock size?  A 130 width tire really is fine.

i always believed that stock size is the best for a stock GS...
but it's a matter of opinion i guess...

but just to bug everyone again...
what are the disadvantages of getting a bigger size tire????

What do you mean? The BT45s are one of the few tires that come in stock sizes for the GS. The Metzelers Z2 only comes in 130/80 or wider, but Me550 and BT45s comes in 130/70.

So, if I get SMALLER tires, will people think.........nah   :P

I've got BT45s in stock sizes and love 'em....when there's not a foot of snow on the ground anyway.  :(

I saved $12 by getting an 140/80 rear versus the stock 130/70. I am frugal, what can I say.
