Someone mentioned carb config?
I am not interested in anything you have to say

Mikuni slingshot carbs. I think the older ones just came with the "slingshot" decal.

Nothing special about "slingshot" Nothing to see there, move along move along, just a carb name is all. Throw on a decal and market it as something special.

Anyway, jacob92icu, I have an unusual question...

Now that a little time has passed and you have had time to reflect, what have you learned from the crash?

Haha i know where this is going. To stay away from blind spots. But that's how quick it was. I didn't see her blinker so i decided to pass, then i see her start to come over. I will definitely not get near any cagers at all when i get a new bike..

I work in insurance (agent @ independent nationally appointed agency).

We write personal lines as well in all states, I dont handle that but our agency does.

It still amazes me some of the other states rules on insurance and how frustrating it is in other states. Our insurance in Michigan may cost more but we get paid immediately and let our carrier take it up with them or their carrier. We dont have to be exposed to trying to battle it out ourselves, the tradeoff is higher premiums.

Lets cross our fingers and hope she has insurance and they take care of you. Was an accident/police report filed where times were reported? That will come in handy if you do have to pull her text records.

Last year a girl ran a light and killed two people texting and they proved it by pulling the records.

Bottom line is your OK. Bikes are replaceable.

Wow, I want to live in Michigan now! That would be awesome.

Yes I know, already looking for another one ;)

Going to try and take the broken stuff off to actually see what all I have to replace.

Dealer first for a certified Estimate. then put your hands to it if thats what you wish. 2 Dealer estimates would be better.
Accelerate like your being chased, Corner like you mean it, Brake as if you life depends on it.

I had the Joe Rocket fall out jacket on, Fulmer flip up helmet, and some alpinestar carbon knuckle gloves. They all did their job very well!

Heres the majority of the damage on the jacket, back and left side:

My helmet did not get too damaged, but scratched up on the back and a bent visor that obviously popped off:

Here are the gloves, got ripped up a little bit:

The good thing is that where the majority of the impact was there was protection on my gear that absorbed the abrasion or shock.

Blueknyt,

I will call a couple dealers and see if they can do estimates by looking at pictures as the bike is immovable and I dont feel like towing it.

So i got the police report finally, and the fault still hasn't been decided. Don't know how to pursue it any further.

The lady that hit me told a bold face lie that she was in my lane the whole time and I was behind her, then she turned into the suicide lane and hit me. So freaking frustrating...

How could you lie about something like that??

There are many suggestions for good lawyers.

jacob92icu

Ya, but then it's kind of like just a spite thing, cause what I would pay the lawyer in the end if i were to win would probably be as much as i spend on repairs lol. plus i just want to get back on the road

Sorry to hear about the whole thing man! She probably figures as a driver she has a good chance to get away with it since we riders are such dangerous hooligans

Need new gloves? If large is what you need I have a pair of Olympia leather ones, they are a bit warm for summer though.

jacob92icu

Thanks for the offer Brian, but i have a few pairs of gloves that i wore before i got those gloves lol yea, it kind of makes me mad, but also, i finally get to start working on it again lol.
