I recently bought a Yuasa Yumicron battery for my '97 Gs500e to replace my bike master battery. It charged perfectly and it started the bike unlike my previous battery. So today I went to start her up and nothing...nothing at all. I checked my fuse and that's fine.. So I connected my jump starter and she started right up.. I hooked the battery up to my Battery Tender Junior automatic and still nothing.. Anyone know what happened?

Assuming your electrical connections are firm & it was only a short time between when u purchased the Yuasa & went to use it again.
It's always possible the battery is defective.....take it back to the supplier & have it tested.
Let us all know what happened cos this is unusual for Yuasa.

I ordered the battery offline

ummmm ... you havent bumped the red kill switch have you?  :dunno_black: .... it happens to all of us!!  :icon_rolleyes:

I made sure it was switched to the run position.. I contacted amazon( the place I bought it.) I explained my situation and they are sending a replacement free of charge.. They even payed for 2 day shipping.. Fingers crossed for a non-defective battery

I also figured out that when I did a voltage test my voltage came out as .778 and I'm pretty sure that's completely wrong

Just out of curiosity i would still have your probably defective battery tested,free......possibly there is some SHOCK voltage treatment to give it life.
Amazon are pretty good but not that good...they must have had some idea by other ppl that your complaint was completely justified.
.778v is about as dead as u can get.  :)

mmm yeah .. i've had fluctuations in batteries bigger than .787 !! :icon_rolleyes:

No one else gave BAD feedback.. And most of the feedback given was good that's what steered me toward it

newbie1993

I just hope the replacement is a good replacement

Do you recommend removing the battery after I'm done working on it?
