Is there anything I should know before taking on this task of replacing this cable. The cable is broken at the seal, and has gotten worse. I leaked enough oil to drain it all in just over a month. I am going to replace just want to know how big of a job I am getting myself into.

Unscrew old one. Screw new one on. 5 minutes tops.
Lube the new cable before installing. Cables are usually shipped dry.
