Will a set of forks from a 2000 gs500 fit a 1998 gs500?

And to be more clear, any fork from 89-09 will fit. The only difference I understand was the reflector mounted on the newer 04+

FWIW: Older forks are easier to service - the damper rods are slotted so that they can be removed with a tool.
