I may be in the market for new tires soon and I was wondering will ALL 110/70-17 front and 130/70-17 rear tires fit gs motorcycles or are there specific ones ?

fetor56

Their not specific, but some are better than others.Get descent quality cos it's your life.

I think Pirelli has a couple if options now a diablo Rosso or something like that and the sport demon
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

All 110/70 and 130/70 tires will fit your wheels but watch out for bad mixes if you mix types of tires.  Best you stick to matching bias ply name brand tires like the Activs, BT45, Demons, GT501, Lasertecs, Roadriders, etc from the major tire companies until you have more motorcycle tire experience before experimenting with mixes and sizes.

Are Pirelli demon sport touring a good choice?

JAS6377

I have the Sport Demons on mine, and I have no complaints. I've heard they have a shorter life span because they're a bit softer, but they're good tires.
Blue 2004F with some fun stuff
Lunchbox, 22.5/65/147.5, Jardine, 17/39, R6 throttle, R6 shock, .85 springs, GSXR1100 rearsets, Clubmans+Rox 2" risers, T-Rex sliders, flush mount fronts, integrated LED tail, integrated LED fronts, HID Projector, blue gauge LEDs, 12V outlet

And 96.5% more wub wub

Never tried them myself but they have been very popular with GS500 and EX500 (Ninja) riders.

I put Sport Demons on mine and was amazed at the difference. granted, the old metzelers that were replaced were in a bad way.

I'd happily recommend them though.

Does anyone use the 150/70 Sport Demons?

150 is pretty wide for a 3.5" rim. id imagine turn in would suffer, and the center would wear very quickly.

I have a 140 on a 4" bandit wheel, and it fits very nicely.

a few weeks ago I slipped an old 180 on the 3.5" rim, just to see if it would seat the bead. it required ether to do it, but has held air since then. the profile is horribly deformed, definitely unsafe, and certainly absurd to consider putting on a bike.

Ohgood .. Can you post a pic of the 180 on the 3.5" ?? .. I'm happy with my 140 ... Just interested to see how much it messes up the profile .... Plus it might show the 'new tyre' buyers that it is possible to go too far with sizes!  :thumb:

I found An Amazing MIX-

Sport Demon front- and BT45 Rear. Sharp turns and hard turns were snappy and gripped perfectly.

I'll never go back.
