Oil in my air box

2 ways gas can get there.

1. If gas and oil, then it is coming through the crank case breather hose. Presence of gas would point to a failed valve stem seal.
2. If gas only, then look at the air intake of your carbs. Most likely one or both have gas dripping from them. That indicates floats are stuck open, flooding the carbs and allowing gas to flow out of the carbs into the airbox.

The valve cover gasket in your picture looks OK to me. No signs of oil in the picture.

It is definitely #2 for sure

And as for the valve cover gasket that's where I had smoke coming from when the bike warms up

Sounds like time to replace the float needles and seats.

Be aware that many members here recommend OEM only on carb needles due to problems that arise with aftermarket ones. K&L are the usual suspects, but they aren't the only ones. Few parts are OEM replacement only, and carb needle seats are one of them.

Probably not necessary, but I'd like to clear up a "slight misquote" issue...

I'm not too sure about that but the smoke is most likely coming from the vent holes behind where the spark plugs are
