Big shout out to Microsoft's Xbox division -shocking as this may be

Short version:

Xbox Live Family plan renewal rejected by Bank of America and flagged as a fraudulent charge -shut down my CC.

Called BOA, they said they have had lots of fraud issues with xbox live charges.  They unlocked my card and said to try again.

I called xbox billing phone number, spoke to Kelsey in billing.  She was very professional and clearly on the ball.  She was none too pleased to hear my story, and tried running the charge again.  Rejected.  Tried again, rejected.  I suggested we do a conference call with BOA and get this resolved because, as it turns out, Gold family plans end in 4 days, and accounts will convert to 15 month regular live accounts (which means $99 gets you $200+ worth of gold accounts for a family of 4).  So time was of the essence.

In the end, for legal reasons they did not want to talk to BOA, they ended up giving me 3, 1 year Live subscriptions at no charge.  Yea, totally free.  Kelsey and the supervisors at xbox Live understood this was an issue between them and BOA, and for bringing it to their attention, and the aggravation, they wanted to take care of me. 

I was going to only buy a PS4 and skip xbox 1, but now I feel MS has earned my business.  Talk about fantastic customer service.

Glad you had a good experience, but my customer service experience with Microsoft Xbox services was aweful.  I actually had fraudulent charges on my account due to insecurity in their system... I had paid Xbox live for 5 years before the incident and they were the least of helpful when I called to resolve it... My Live account was linked to Paypal, and Paypal ended taking care of it all for me on the first phone call, and I've never paid for their services!  They dealt with Microsoft and told me when it was over.

I should also add that this girl was American.  Good score?  Huge score.  I mean I did not expect it, and actually did not believe what I heard.  I said "can you say that again, I thought you said you would give me 3 years of gold."
