New to customizing bikes so I am posting to see what kind of slip on you guys would thumbs up on a 2007gs500f. I'm working on it now to street fighter it and was thinking of a short pipe I can latch to my back pegs like the stock exhaust does. I don't want her to be a screaming glass breaker either. So what do you guys suggest? (Price is a factor)

When I was shopping for a GS500f, there was actually another one that had a Yoshimura slip-on. Wish I had bought that one instead :-(.

I've also heard about some guys mentioning Vance and Hines 2 into 1 for the GS500. I had it for my old Ninja500. Such a beautiful , loud, rich sound but you have to remove the center stand.

i would ask the aussies but my bike came with a SCREAMING DEMON from australia. i personally love the throaty sound of it, the baffle does quiet it down a decent amount. and its a nice short exhaust

No, you do not have to remove the center stand.
Probably people that do have forgotten to install the bracket to hold the center stand since there is no rubber bumper for it on the V&H.
I have V&H on Junior and just got in one for some bike I'll build later this year.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm really digging that yoshi. I love that and I heard the v and h are pricey. I guess it depends on where I buy.

Watch for deals. I just got a new V&H from ebay for $189 + postage. It came yesterday and didn't expect it to be new, in the original un-opened box.
Deals are there.Be patient and watch for them.
Jardine is another choice for a full system - all stainless, too.

If you want a cheap slip on, some people go with Delkevics. Look them up on ebay, they are a little on the louder side, but they look amazing and are shorties like you want.

Heres one of there cheaper ones:

But they have a ton of different options.

I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.

Delkevic really is cheap. Sounds unique... like a sports car mixed with a motorcycle sound. Though I like deeper sounds... still much better than the mouse-sounds that come from the stock GS500f exhaust.

Found this Delkevic on an R6 video:

H2olone, here is my eBay Musarri which is the same as Screaming Demon.
I think it sounds pretty good for a cheaper exhaust and has removable baffle.

Just find a slip on with the same diameter as the GDS. It doesn't have to be made for it
