Ran into big dramas when it came time to fit the exhaust - the pipes are a slip-on kit for current model Hayabusa (I love these M4 retro pipes but they just didn't make one to fit my bike) so after many hours of cutting and grinding, going back to the drawing board twice, they now fit perfectly. I had to use rear peg mounts from a TL1000S with a small adapter but it looks factory now!

After fitting the rear end I decided to make a lining for the storage compartment - its quite massive inside there... I reckon you could fit at least 10 cans of beer in there!

Getting close now! Where are the wheels though?

Unsane

The wheels were here...

but now they're here...

So after 3 months of furious work the bike is registered and running perfectly. The spraypainter couldn't get the tank and hump painted white for me so they remain red for the time being - there are mixed opinions on leaving the tank red but I think I'll paint it!

After 18 months on the sideline, words cant express the joy this bike has given me in the last 2 days
Only crappy phone pics at the moment - my girl has an awesome SLR so some better pics will come

Thanks Golly - looks nice, the sound is a v-twin symphony and while 135hp isn't in the realms of today's super bikes, it has some serious torque and the front wheel lifts very easily

Damn dude, this is an excellent build. You got all the goodies along the way too, galfer rotors, SS lines, practically a brand new bike that you continue to mod out lol.
I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.

Hahaha - the Mrs keeps sliding forward as she has long legs and they aren't a good fit for the pegs. We've tried a few changes but it's just a supersport... Not a tourer!

Will be staying with Suzuki though... We are both pretty comfy on the Hayabusa ;)
