Single: neutral switch. Same connector for old and new engines.
2 pin connector: The 2 extra wires from the neutral switch on 2004+ engines to tell the ICU when in 1st or 2nd gear to adjust timing in conjunction with the throttle position sensor on the carbs. It can be left unconnected.

Which picture you talking about? If its easy to change i would like to put the newer switch in.

1. ok i think green is kick stand switch,
Green = side stand switch
Single with blue wire is neutral
2 wire if it has red/black and green/black is the for the 2 new wires from the newer neutral switch.

89-00 speedo/tach/indicator lights

4.
Right front turn signal

5.
Gauges, along with one more single wire on a barrel connector that is black/red

6.
Stator

7. think black is for neg starter wire
Ground wire from short stub at battery connector into the wiring harness. Basically, the main ground where the really havy ground goes to the motor frame.

8.
Need to see colors, but connector looks like rear turn signal. If one wire green, right. If one black, left (other wire black with white?)

9. think this is for the foot brake switch.
Color indicates rear brake switch

knowles

ok think i figured it out i need a newer, side stand switch, gear indicator switch, negative wire, gauges, and maybe stater. might just buy a koso or similar gauge if i cant find cheap original gauges.

So number 5 is for the newer gauges hook up?
and number 6 is for the stater? one the old i think its just 3 separate wires....right?

Your old harness should have had the 3 barrel connectors go in and there should have been a 3 pin connector for the regulator. You can pull the "extension" from the old harness or if junking it, you can cut off the 3 pin connector that went to the regulator from the old harness and splice it on to your stator. OR un-tape the old harness and extract that stator extension.

Yes - #5 is for newer gauges.

Also you'll need to be sure you have the right handle bar controls as those connectors changed a couple times.

knowles

Ok i will try that. Ya i have the right hand controls they came with the harness. Thanks again.
