Hey,  so when I have my gas tank full for half full it runs great on the on position... Which it should, but when I switch it to prime or even reserve it cuts out and dies.   Clogged hose?

Big Rich

Yep. If I'm not mistaken, reserve and prime share the same hose, so it would appear you're correct.

Right on..(sorta)  figured as much, just kinda glad nothing too major
.  Had to double check with the gs guru's.

1. Possible your hoses are reversed?
2. Possible the reserve hose is pinched or clogged
3. Possible the frame petcock is dirty and needs cleaning.

Codoloco

Good call, I'll check all my lines... Plus I'll check the petcock. Never thought of that.  Maybe I should replace my hoses and do a good cleaning.  It's my first bike and I need any information, experience and advice I can get.
Thanks again

FYI: You look in the gas tank and it looks like there is lots of gas. WRONG!
Most of the gas is in the bug, upper, front section and not what you see looking in the gas cap. All too often people look in, say they have plenty of gas then wonder why the bike won't run. (They are nearly out of gas and need to switch to reserve.) ask me how I know? OK, not be but I have had a few frantic calls from friends on the road and once I convinced them they were low on gas, they switched to reserve and continued on.

When replacing fuel lines, use good stuff. You only need a couple feet. Make them a few inches too long. The extra wont cause any problems and will make the bike easier to work on.

Note the extra length I put on? makes it easier to remove the tank or pull out the petcock to check it. I use exclusively MotionPro fuel line (the gray stuff).

Oh, the long tube on the tank is reserve. Short is ON. Install short first then long. THEN you route the fuel lines and cut to length. I take one long hose. Connect both ends to the tank. Then with tank on, route the hoses to the petcock and only then do I cut to length.
The frame petcock, if you don't have a hose diagram, has the nipples marked "O" for ON and "R" for reserve.

Wow! I like that bike!!!   That looks much cleaner too

Hahaha I can imagine your buddies phone calls ..  about the low fuel, looks are definitely deceiving, once I topped it up it ran like a charm hence that was before the clogged/pinched reserve/prime hose. I'm cleaning up my hoses exactly how mentioned. Thats exactly what im looking for, perfect picture.
Just wondering where you got that chainguard?
