2 Days...

I just spent the last 7 hours in the neonatal wing of Holy Spirit Hospital. My nephew, Finley Killian-Geno Farrow, was due to see this world on October 5th. Earlier today, his heart stopped... My sister is getting ready to deliver a dead child... I'm at a complete loss for what to do. Why do these things happen? He was perfectly healthy 24 hours ago...

I don't know what else to say... I just had to get this off of my chest. I thank you all for your prayers and support.

Things happen.  That does not help your sister much, but she has to look at it that it wasn't meant to be.  She will need some time for sure to digest this very bitter pill.  I just hope she decides to try again.

I know there is nothing that is "right" or "proper" to say in times like this.....but my heart aches to hear your news. But a good friend of mine told me: "The streets of heaven are already filled with angels......"

We got back in the hospital this morning at around 5:30, at which point they started induced labor. My sister finally got done delivering the baby. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck 4 times... We'll be preparing for a burial soon.

Thank you everyone for all of your support. It means a lot to me.

Keep an eye on your sister for a while.  Try to get her talking -not today unless she wants to, but as time marches forward.  I just hope she doesn't give up trying to have kids.

Maybe look for support groups?  Other women have had this happen.  Both my mom and mom in law lost children well on into pregnancy.  I think it was more common many years ago.

Brother, PM me if you need to talk. any time any place. its fine with me. ive been in this situation with my sisters young boy. he was 22mos old when the tumor finally got him. just be there for her. youre family, she will need support . i got the call at 930pm, was a deacde ago. drove 34 miles to her home, and held him as he passed. prayers wlil be sent continuously. and am willing to talk privately if you wish.

Hey, guys. My sister was discharged, and went back home today. She's not feeling too well, as can be expected, but she'll be alright. We're having a small burial this Thursday. No amount of time will truly heal a wound like this, but for now, the only thing we can do just be there for her.

I'm thinking about doing another valve check just to keep myself busy. I don't know what else to do, you know? I think a normal routine will help to keep me sane. Not that I was particularly sane to begin with, but I'm sure you get my point.

Another incident of mine, was when my mother died. I knew her health was going downhill. EMS was there for either my  health issues or hers. mainly hers. anyhoo I was at work, driving, I see first responders heading up road to  my property. I know. I called father, said, its mom isn't it. he said yes,. said, it doesn tlook good. I stayed at work. I went to her place and got her suv. cause mybeat up camry wasn't dependable. said call me if need be. I just knew it was a one way trip. sure enough. I called work and let  them know. boss lady said, " you need time off?" I said no that would be abad idea. I need to keep busy. ( like youre mentioning. after 3.8 years, its still not hit me :S I keep busy to keep mentally going. look after yourself my friend, as wella s your sister. she WILL need you. even if she says " go away" don't.
You lose someone dear to you, it hits HARD. again, im open to talk if need be my friend. via pm or here, either way

Hey, guys. I figured I'd give you one last update. The service was this morning at 10. I don't know which was harder: seeing that tiny casket, or watching everyone else.

Hopefully now we can view this as proper closure, and begin to move on. I really appreciate all of the love and prayers you all have offered us.

GOD called home one of his tiny angel babies.  prayers still being sent. and will keep on doing so.  I had to serve as pallbearer at nephews funeral. I was honoured to do so. but damn it was depressing.

My niece once removed also was delivered with umbilical cord around her neck 3 X. In India 3 days before the due date, the ysaw that and C sectioned her.
