I bought my first bike, a 2005 GS500.  I changed the oil, adjusted my clutch, put a new battery in, and now I'm working on modding it with some LEDs. I want to take apart the headlight assembly but I can't figure out how it comes apart. I have the entire front fairing off my bike, just can't get that heart-shaped headlight out. I've seen a few headlight mods on here but no one show how to get it apart.  Help?

Remove the black dash piece from the inside of the cowl. It has two screws and 4 push pins I think. Once it is removed, then you can see the back of the headlight which is held in place to the front stay with 5 screws I think.

If you want to take apart the actual headlight assembly, you are going to need a heat gun
