Anyone done anything interesting at home with their exhaust?
I like loud, cafe kinda bikes...
Anyone bored, chopped, torched the factory exhaust?

Any good ideas?

Legalities optional

i believe they have.... sounds like its worth every penny spent usually  ;)

if its on a strict budget .. 2nd hand slightly damaged can off ebay ... then shorten it to remove the bad bit...

theres many threads with a mention of it eh!  :thumb:

What I'd like, and what I'll get eventually are the Norton-styled peashooters from Dime City...

they look ok! ... quite ok! ...

styling compared to the GS ... hrm dunno... post pics of the completed unit eh!  :thumb:

.. just my perspective though... unless your exhaust is in real bad shape sound and looks wise... i'd just save up and fit the peashooters when the cash is available... each to their own completely of course! .. but a hacked up stocker .. is just that .. its not gonna make it awesome!?  :dunno_black: :thumb:

i bought 2 stock gs cans, cored them. then put them on my chevrolet c10 pickup.  lol. on my 4th and 5th gs, ( same bike owned 2 times ) i bought a gsxr wedge can and mounted in place of the stock can.

Well I can't really follow up that... lol. My old set up ran me $12 and a cheese burger for my buddy to weld it on. It's an Emgo shorty muffler (universal) with the baffle and all of anything that was inside it gone. Sorry it's a terrible pic, but I loved this setup. Really freaking loud and sounded like a damn harley idling. And by loud I mean I could be heard from over a mile away

see... with the above examples... i like them!...

with my original posts i kept on getting mental images of a hacked up can with rough drill holes and hammer marks to 'rip out the guts'

... the lads here have shown the artistry of whats possible though! ..  :thumb:
