My 2004 has camfloat end noise. I was sure it was 2005 on they fixed the issue

Oww weird, maybe 10w40 gets into the little crevasses better ...
My 48K GS actually used the least amount of oil with regular castrol 20w50. I even ran 60 weight valvoline. It still used the least amount when running 20w50. And I heard synthetic is much slipperier and it gets past rings, seals and guides a lot better.
And the conventional oil is supposed to cushion better - as in it sticks in a thicker film on tappets and cams and helps with impact.

You have one of those versions happen to you.
