This is my 2006 GS500F for sale. I am the third owner of the bike. I bought the bike wiht 6800 miles on it in April 2012. It currently has 23050 miles on the bike. I am selling it as I no longer need the bike for my commute.

I have done the following modifications to the bike:

- The first or second owner had dropped the bike and cracked the fairings turning it into a GS500E. The original conversion had a chop shop streetfighter tail and a cheap headlight. I found original rear fairings and a GS500E headlight and brackets.
- Sonic Springs .8kg/mm in the front forks
- R6 Rear shock
- Stainless brake lines front and rear
- Front master cylinder reservoir glass replaced
- Front brake pads (less than 3k miles) EBC HH front brake pads
- Rear brake pads (less than 3k miles) OEM rear pads
- New chain, front sproket, and rear sproket at 20,000 miles
- Rear tire has less than 4,000 miles on it and shows little wear (Pirelli Sport Demon). Starting to flatten a bit as I only commute.
- Front tires has at least 12,000 miles but shows plenty of life left (Pirelli Sport Demon)
- SV650 clutch perch
- SV650 cluth cable (needed to clear gauge with clipons)
- ASV front levers (need SV650 clutch perch to fit)
- LSL Lane Split Mirrors
- Euro spec Suzuki OEM clip ons. Should repaint the top plate and bars.
- All instrument lights are LEDS (recently replaced)
- Front and rear Euro spec Lights4All turn signal lights
- Lights4All LED rear brake light
- Billet stator cover
- Shorai lithium ion battery
- GSXR Rearsets w custom adaptor plates
- KN Lunchbox filter and rejetted carbs
- Fuel lines replaced about one year ago
- All the drain lines and vent lines go into a catch can. The bike does not drip anything.

I have upkept all the maintenance on the bike and performed all the oil changes and valve checks required.

The following spare parts will be included:
- 3 oil filters
- EBC GG rear brake pads
- Front crash bars (need paint)
- Billet strut brace
- Chain lube
- Oil
- OGIO Tail Bag
- Clutch and Throttle cables
- Cable lube
- New horn (bigger and louder, it needs it)
- Tool kit
- There may be other stuff I cant think of

No test rides unless you show up with a bike and put the cash in my hand in case you drop or wreck it. No exceptions. I get around 50mpg on this bike consistantly even riding spirited. Located in Pasadena. Asking $3500 obo

$3000 anyone?

I dont want to crush your spirits but it might be in your best interest to let you know that you probably won't sell this bike for that much ever. For $3500 you could get a better bike in better condition (like an SV650, or an older 600). The GS500s rarely break $2300 private sale. For $3000 you could get a decent recent-year SV650 with EFI.

I understand you've put alot of money into it, but in that case the bike is worth more in parts than it is altogether. Also, alot of people don't want to have the price of "extras" included. If someone wants the bike, give them the bike price. This might be why you aren't getting any bites.

Now that we're telling you as we see it ...

Taking off the fairing = crashed and forgot to fix it. I have a bike I have "nakedized".  Only thing is, I have all the body work for it intact with nothing more than a few scuffs and some dirt. If someone buys it and asks me to install it then or later I'll do it.

Like I told my friend who broke a valve in his savage and claimed it was worth 2g cos he paid 2g for it when it ran ... When it broke that valve it made a sound right ... can you repeat that sound. He said it went "tunk and bang bang bang bang till it stopped"

Aaaah I said You know that sound ... you know what that sound is ...

Its the sound of 1000's of $$$ flying out of your bike.

Cool.

I wish I had the fairings, but that's how I bought the bike.

What you guys are saying does make complete sense, and I know the asking is high. I am in no crunch for money so I will keep lowering until I get a bite. Have someone from Craigslist coming this weekend, and it was listed on craigslist for 3000. I know he will offer less so well see where it goes.

The Buddha

Good luck there with the sale, and it is a beautiful bike BTW.
Cool.

Thanks!

Can you put a closer pic of the clutch lever/cable and the dash. I am surprised you got the sv ones to fit. What SV - it has the mirror post.
Of course you have euro risers, so that helps.
Cool.
