I'm finally giving in and selling my GS - I've been too busy with everything else to tear into the engine, so I just want to make some space. I'm asking for $900 picked up.

The good
It's got brand new Sport Demons installed, a stainless steel front brake line, 0.85kg/mm Sonic springs, a Katana shock, (used) engine guards, and comes with a K&N lunchbox and full V&H exhaust.

The bad
When I changed the oil after putting a few miles on it once I finished the head swap and tank lining, I found some metal shavings in the oil pan. It seems like there's a knock or tap coming from the bottom end, but I'm not sure as it's been a long time since I was used to hearing this thing run. It runs, but I wouldn't trust it for too long.

Here's my craigslist ad if you want to look.

If you have any questions, let me know. It's got a clean title and it runs. I'm in Fort Washington (a little south of Washington, DC).

I'd be interested in your crash bars in case you'd like to sell them separately.

badguy

If it doesn't sell for a while I'll take em off. Can you pick them up? I'm not sure they're worth shipping with the rash on them.

I'd love to drop by, but I am too far. Down in Tennessee. They don't look to bad on the pictures.
Just let me know. Thanks.

Aw man, didn't I sell you those Sonic springs several years ago?  Shoulda kept em if I knew you were going to up and quit on us.

Kidding!  Good luck with the sale and I hope you buy another GS.   O0

Ah ok. There's some rusty rash on both sides that could probably be sanded and painted. It's not horrible, but I wouldn't feel right asking for a whole lot for them and I don't know how much they'd cost to ship. I'll let you know what's up

Haha thanks Dan. I knew I got the springs from Sonic, but also remembered buying something from you, so I checked my PMs. Apparently I bought your tires a while back and tried to sell you some jets that got lost in the mail.

I'm usually not a quitter, but this bike has been sitting way too much for me to keep it. I've gotten more into the dual sport side of things and have been wanting an old Moto Guzzi for a while now, so it's time for her to go. If I ever need to build up a stable, I think there's a spot for a naked GS in it  ;)

Thanks bad guy. No sure how big they are. Maybe they fit into one of those usps flat rate boxes. That's the easiest way to send something heavier.

Yama  I am in Cleveland. Exit 27 off i75.

Ah!  That was it!  Knew we had done business at some point.  Good luck with the sale, and here's to hoping you find that MG. :thumb:  I don't really think you're a quitter.   :icon_lol:

tcmia - They might fit into a couple of the flat rate boxes, but I'm not sure if I'm creative enough to get them into one. If I pull them off I'll definitely let you know.

Dan - Thanks again for the luck, we'll see if it works...
