Dunno for sure .. But you would think so eh! .. So long as the box manufacturer is same ..

Like ... A Borg Warner T5 is the same no matter what car it's in ... A T850 same situ ...

Only thing that would really vary is if the box came with the bell housing... That would have to vary a bit in bolt up patterns from car to car... The tailshafts and bellhousings vary ... The boxes are normally same... Gearbox manufacturers can't possibly produce a different abc123 to fit '23' different vehicles that use it...??

maybe a slight gear ratio change???? .. But I doubt it if the overall vehicle is about the same size and power?!

There is a sticker on the thing -

That sticker is for the whole unit I would hope.

F4A51 has 2 and 3 as well, not talking about those, F4A51 plain = F4A51 plain I hope.

Oh fruck it, wouldn't you know it, a stupid relay - swapped it and viola transmission shifts fine.
I am going to walk over to the 3 shops that looked @ it and said it needs a $2300 transmission rebuild - and castrate the Idiots.

:thumb: ... Biatch slap the faces till they cry!!

In the early 70's my dad had a Ford station wagon ... Auto box.... It went 'bad' ... Mechanic back then said $750 for a rebuild ... Which was astronomical ... He then went to a old retired mechanic grandpa  type man .. Explained what the thing was doing... Old chap nodded , grunted 'wait here' ... Went out the back and came out with a 5a fuse ... Told dad 'reach under and feel for the thick boxy bit of the cable next to the gearbox .. Open it... Change the fuse ... Close it ... Try it ... Good... Have a nice day!' ... Was a early safety switch type thing that operated a solenoid valve for the fluid?? ... Dad took him honeycomb and honey every so often after that..

Awesome when things are a simple fix eh!

Chryslers and mitsubishis were the same company at some stage weren't they?
I owned a Chrysler Sigma in my time as well as a Mitsubishi Sigma and they were identical except for the badge so if the numbers match I would say they are definitely the same.

Like I've been telling my wife, the transmission shops are there to rebuild your transmission ... whether you need it, whether the car is rotting away around it, or if its on fire ... or if the transmission is not even the problem ... the transmission will be rebuilt ... if you have  only a hammer, everything around you oddly looks like a nail, even if you're a dentist by trade.

When someone's likely to make more $$ being crooked and stupid its near impossible to educate them.

That was nearly the entire basis of the 2005-2007 housing bubble. We all knew it cant be sustained ... but the realtors didn't want to know better - they just pumped and dumped.
