I was just wondering at what point does the odometer reset? Im at 60 thou now and will have the bike for another 12 months before I sell it but I will do about 40 thou in that time.
I know some bikes clock over at 100 thou.
Doing a revs check or similar in Aus will let you know how many k's it had on previous registrations so Im not looking to scam anyone, I just want to plan how I explain it when I advertise it.

AFAIK, any mechanical recorder of that type will go from 99,999 to 00,000.

The thing you will notice then is that the tyres will suddenly have full tread, the chain and sprockets will be as new and all the dents and scratches will be gone.

 lol It would be the smart thing to do!
Unfortunatly I hit a kangaroo a few weeks back so the fairing, bar end, indicator, exhaust etc  all look pretty rough now.

My 02 GS just hit 100,000 MILES recently and my bike is new again.  Only a little over 400 miles on it now.   :thumb:
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Why didn't you use a baseball bat instead?

I like a challenge i guess.  :cookoo: and a few weeks off work was nice now back on light duties (broken rib and pretty mesy shoulder) and the excuse to buy a new helmet. Silver lining to every cloud type thing. lol
