Aftermarket Exhaust

Hi all. Just thinking of a few minor mods and couldn't find much in the way of advice for a good aftermarket slip-on / jet combo that won't break the bank. While I'm sure there are plenty in there somewhere if anyone has a proven reliable combo that's easily accessible to me (Melbourne, Australia) the advice would be greatly appreciated. Xmas is coming and I'd like to "influence" my missus' gift choice! <Evil giggle>

PS: Bike in question is a brand new '13 model. 3,000mi on the clock.

Fellow melburnian! I have only done quick searches on the net for jets but it looks like we will be buying from overseas.  Let me know if you find any and we could organise a bundle buy for cheap postage maybe.

Aus spec bike with just a slip-on doesn't need a re-jet. I ran a Staintune exhaust and K&N drop-in filter with no problems.

eh Banzai ... You remember how much that Staintune was when you got it?

Too expensive. $700 from them. Staintune sometimes has them on their eBay store for about $500 or $550. They are good exhausts but there are plenty of other options on eBay for a lot less $$

Well if thats the case, maybe skip the zorst and just throw and intake at it and rejet. Now when we say it doesn't "need" rejetting, are we not taking into account boyracer wants to go faster? Hehe, I'm pretty sure she's gonna be rockin a 15t front sprocket soon. Rejetting for fun not out of necessity

Even a bone stock GS will benefit greatly from a rejet.  When you change the exhaust and don't rejet you'll have a somewhat leaner A/F mix; so even if it'll run fine you'll get more benefits from doing the rejet as well.

I got a lot more power by simply installing a K&N drop-in and rejetting from 17.5/60/130 to 20/60/142.5
