Has anyone ever done Tony's Track Days on a GS500? I was thinking of going to help with that "chicken" feeling I sometimes get on the twisties out in the mountains. I guess I'll have to finally fix that oil leak from my cam chain tensioner, which I've been dreading.

I've never managed to get the scratch to do a trackday but I have autocrossed a few years back. I've always thought that unless your experience is absolutely horrid, any trackday is worth it for the learning alone. You can usually sign up as a corner worker  for one  event to get a feel for it all first if desired.

+1 Absolutely do a track day or two if you can. You'll be amazed at how much it can help knowing where the 'limits' are. You'll gain lots of confidence.
You might not get rid of that 'chicken' feeling, but you'll get the feeling at higher speeds and you'll be more relaxed doing it. (You may also learn to love it!)

I can't wait to give it a try. I've never been on a track before and thought this program looks like a good introduction. I have all the gear recommended accept for the correct back armor. Any recommendations from those of you in the know would be helpful.

Thanks,
Erika

Just go at your own pace first off, and as you go you can push it faster each lap. Be ready for the shock of fast riders zapping past inside and outside you, do it all as smooooooth and quick as you can within your comfort zone - but only just inside it. You start to get it together when you push that comfort zone.
Enjoy... nothing surer!
