G'day readers

I just low sided my bike last night in the rain and I am fine.

The bike however has taken a good sanding. The right side of the handlebars are a bit forward than the left side when going straight, I noticed last night on the slow ride home.
My gear shifter has been bent in and mangled and i have been advised that I can find a wreckers and get that part.
The cover where it says 'Suzuki' on the left of the bike is shredded, should I get that part or will I be okay?
Bar ends will need replacing and the end of my clutch lever has been sanded down a bit, might look at getting a new set of levers in the future.

Any advice?

Thanks

when you pull your handle bars, take a close look down your forks, while they generaly dont bend in a lowside (unless it turns into a rolling tumble) one of the things that happens is the tripple tree can torque or shift a little.  this will make even straight bars look alittle off when you mount them.  you can re adjust them, by lifting the front off the ground, loosen the headstock nut and loosen the fork clamps a touch.  i found and eye balled mine by removeing gauges and headlight as well as front wheel. useing 2 yardsticks i taped one across the forks just under the top clamp and taped the other across the front of the base of the fork legs after the front axle (not the wheel) was reinstalled and tight.  this gave me a way to compare top to bottom.  it never hurts to have another pair of eyes compare what they see too.

I just bought new bars when I laid mine down. I wanted new bars anyway, so it worked out. Kind of. Anyway, as far as that little logo goes, no. It won't hurt a thing. It's just a sticker. Mine hadn't had it for 2 years. As long as that side cover is intact and has no cracks, it should be fine.
