Adams county PA is dead in the sights of this years "big one". We already have more tree damage and power lines down (from last weeks ice storm) in the area than I've ever seen from any kind of storm. Now we are expecting more wet heavy snow. I'm jonesing to get out ride. Crazy weather this year for these northeasten parts.

It's crossed my mind. Putting a set of dirt tires on the GS and studding them with some screws :thumb: That would be cool. If I had a dirt bike I'd be riding it in the snow. When I was young I'd ride my DR125 in snow and ice just because I could. These days my knees could not take it.

I'm with you, pliskin. I'm in Cumberland county. The last time we had this much snow was in like 1998 when it dropped about 3" over the course of 2 days. I was young, so I enjoyed it lol. Now I just want to ride. I thought about grabbing a cheap dual-sport specifically for winter.

I'm in Lancaster. "Forecast" says anywhere from 4 - 14 inches. Here is a nice IceBike...

I'll probably never own a Duc for the same reason I'd never own a Ferrari: I'd feel like a big old ball of crap if anything happened to it lol. That would be so much fun, though.

we have a foot in chaarlotte NC, and after the first 8" we got a nice 1-2" of freezing rain ... aka, water that is colder than ice but hasn't frozen yet ... that turned the 8" into Ice-crete. Then 4" of snow and counting.

This is the severest snow I've seen in the 11 years I have lived here.

Cool.

I'm just up the road from you in Greensboro and have basically the same thing......and it is snowing now and predicted to snow for the rest of the day.

Went to the end of the drive this morning and you almost couldn't walk.  You break through the crust then slide one way or the other (hurts your ankle when you hit it on the crust).

Bikes are all warm and comphy in an attached garage.

Think warm thoughts.................

Cumberland, Adams, York Co in Pennsylvania....more snow tonight. A few more inches to smooth all the dirty snow out. I know I've shoveled a couple tones of snow by hand and I'm tired of it. I also built a 6ft high snow fort with my son big enough park both my bikes in it.
