Hi all I have just joined this site after buying a 2013 GS 500. I have always been an old Triumph rider I mean old as I turn 70 this year, this new Suzy makes me feel like a teenager again. I am still running it in so not taken it over 7000 rpm.  and loving it

Now.... Wander on over and have a chat with gsJack !! ... It should be enlightening for us younger folk to hear of historical biking! .. Honest!  :)

Welcome yachty. I didn't start riding until I was 52 yo and reached my peak as a rider at around 70 yo, made my last trip to the Smoky Mtns at age 72 doing 400 mile Interstate days going and coming on a GS.  Still riding as often but just not going very far away from home now.  I was 71 when I bought my current GS and it has over 100k miles on it now.  This has been the longest nastiest winter since I started riding year around here in NE Ohio almost 30 years ago.  Over 2 months now without a ride and I'm going stir crazy.
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.
