Ok let me just say this isn't a stock bearing question.

If you guys remember i was putting a single swingarm on my GS, well i just need some damn bearings and it's on!
The swingarm uses these bearings:
Right side: Sealed Bearing - 35X16X11
Left Side: Needle Roller Bearing - with a collar thats 16mm ID and a unknown OD which slots in.

The stock bearings are 35X16x11 (in MM) Now the GS swinger spindle is 14mm, and so are the holes in the frame. So i have no choice to change either the bearings or re-drill holes in my frame (which i would not be able to put my bike back to stock when i want to sell it).

Ive been looking for bearings which are 35X14X11 - They dont need to be 11mm width infact i want them smaller if possible as the bearing is slightly too wide and i want a rubber seal in (the bearing inside the swingarm already is a sealed bearing anyway)

Ive seen these : http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/p42612/E14+Magneto+Bearing+14x35x8mm/product_info.html
Would one of them hold up holding the spindle?

I do have a spare of the original bearing which is 35X16X11 - i am getting 2 collars made which are the same OD as the stock needle bearing on the left side but 14MM ID for the bolt.

I was also looking at this: http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/p152756/87014+Deep+Groove+Ball+Bearing+with+Extended+Inner+Ring+Felt+Front+Seal+and+Steel+Back+Seal+14x35x12.7mm/product_info.html
Which would work if i filed some of the bushes from the inside of the frame.

EDIT: on the swingarm there's a inside section which is 28MM wide so could fit a bearing that could hold my collars, but the outer bearing would still be 2mm too wide

Any help on this matter? Really not sure which route i should go.

Swingarm bearings are needle style bearings, atleast on the stock GS, I dont think ball bearings will work for that application.
However seeing as you're already this far along, cant hurt to try.

BTW the original GS needle bearing needles make perfect float pins for somehting like a 91-99 yamaha seca. I splattered one of those bearings in my driveway back in 2007, a few months later as I was working on the seca and needed a pin, I happened to find the pins about a month later and viola perfect fit.

Cool.

Heres the partsfiche:

One bearing is a needle roller, the other a sealed ball bearing type.

Looks like ill be looking for a needle bearing for the inner sleeve of the left side if the ball bearings cant hold it.

EDIT: Was the partfische link removed bya  admin or did i fail to put it in?
