97 with dynojet kit want to change for lunchbox filter.

ok so i figured i start my own thread here instead of jacking the other one i was watching an kind of talking to buddha on.
i picked up my bike last yr around this same time march. it has a v&h full exhaust on it and also has some type of dynojet kit in there. havent been able to take a look yet since its in storage. ( still alot of white fluffy stuff on the ground) i want to put back in the stock needles and rejet it for a lunch box filter. ive searched for a long time and havent found anyone that has either gone from having this kit in and going back to stock or upgrading it to something like i wish to. one thing is buddah said that i was confused about was something along the lines of the dj kit's jets being .25mm bigger or something? i did find a tap in the kit the guy gave me with the bike. i just want to make sure im not going to have any problems if i go ahead and get the jets suggest per wiki.

If the jet holes in the carb have been drilled and tapped for the dj jets then im guessing standard jets will no longer fit the jet holes.

For me buddha gave me the jet sizes i needed for my modifications and i purchased genuine mikuni jets from a local retailer for a quater of the price of the dj kit

Inbox buddah and see if he has a way to reverse the kit, you may be able to use the DJ needles with mukini jets, he mentioned on one of my posts theres a way to reverse it

The only unreverable mod the DJ kit does is the holes in the slides which can be plugged yer? The kit doesnt modify where the the jets go sp ypu shpuld be able to use mukini jets with the DJ needles amd tge holes holes.in the slides plugged? Mayve i dunno

how did pluging the hole work out for you? i think i saw that he said use like a plastic screw or something to plug the hole and sand it smooth.

i think im just going to say f%$k the lunchbox filter and change my pilot jet an change out the main to a little bigger. it hesitates up to bout 4k but the whitening of my pipes is what irritates me and makes me think its running lean. it runs good and strong past 4k- redline. might not even need the bigger main jet.

Pilot you can make bigger - that part is easy.
Slightly bigger mains ... he he ... WTF is a DJ 122 mean ? Is it the same as a mikuni 122.5 but a wee bit smaller ? Who the F%^K knows.

Mikuni is our language, it was what was put in the bike by suzuki, Its the one we have a good replicable base line for and it what the manual says what is ideal jetting - guess what, my jetting formula - pulled right from the suzuki manual atleast for the 89-00 bikes. In countries without an EPA, they put the right jets in it. In US they squeeze us 1 slight bit. We correct that and voila ...
Then we went on up from there with an O2 sensor in the exhaust and making runs in all sorts of traffic and open road.

DJ is crap because they gave us a whole new language and its missing most of the alphabet. I would have no problem using DJ, if I can walk to a store and say, 122 is a wee bit too lean, can I get 123.

I think some twinners - me included had some sorta hand in putting that chart together ... and even we didn't trust it all that much.
Or maybe someone did a better job after we tried ... or they did worse ...
