Help! no resistance on Brake!

hey guys ive been building up an old GS500 (1996) ive just put a new brake master cylinder, hose and caliper on it, put some new oil in, no air inside it, but ive been pumping the brake lever for some time now and still no resistance on it? have i done something wrong? please help guys

Open the bleeder with a piece of hose from the bleeder to a glass container. Pour fluid into the master and keep  pumping unitl you get no bubbles coming out of the hose. Close the bleeder and give it a try.

Even with the hose and jar deal, I always pull and hold the lever, open the bleed fitting, when the fluid stops close the bleed fitting, and then release the lever. Repeat as neccessary, not alot of fluid in the single pistons, should only take two or three of this procedure. Maybe overkill, but Ive never had problems.
If this doesnt work, make sure the fluid isnt leaking out the slave cylinder itself, and running down the back of the rotor, where you cant see it.

On a completely dry / newly installed system, you can actually try pumping fluid into bleeder valve along with fluid from the master cylinder. When I did the rear caliper on mine a little while ago I had a syringe with a clear hose attached and was using it to suck air out of the bleeder valve.

And to keep brake fluid away from painted parts, you can unbolt the rotor from the wheel, slide the caliper over it, and then bleed the brakes. Much easier to cleanup a mess that isn't on the bike.....

hey guys i got a little impatient so i went into my garage to sort it and voila, hooked up a clear pipe bleeded it again into a pot and after about 1-2 mins of clear pumping sure enough some pretty large bubbles came out and now its all cleared and the pressure is back so happy haha thanks for the help guys
