Flat spot/low rev, help!

hey guys got a new problem, ive been repairing an old Suzuki GS (1996) so that i can have it as my own, i have installed a new brake system, new clutch plates sparks and now tyres, but now theres a new problem, the old gal does not like low revs, just been out on her and when im manouvering at low revs, it feels like shes about to cut out, but as soon as i get past about 3k revs shes fine, what could it be, i was thinking mixture, or a dirty carb?

I would call that a GS500 No, but really, all she likes to do under 3k is sit and idle. But that's not a bug, more like a feature

The 2000 and older stock GSs with 2 circuit carbs need about 4k rpm to accelerate smoothly.  Bought my 97 new and rode it that way for 80k great miles.  It'll feel normal when you get used to it.     The 01 and later GSs with 3 circuit carbs will pull away nicely from 2.5-3k rpm if they're all like my 02 GS, mine has for 100k happy miles so far.

alright haha well thats good to know, was hoping to sit my test on it but dont wanna look like a prat juddering on u-turns haha

I'd recommend 2nd gear, and at least 4k revs for those U-turns... of course it depends how comfortable you are with friction zone, clutch control, low speed maneuvering in general... but that's what I do anyways 4-5k revs in 2nd gear, and actually lean the bike over for it.

Edit: Come to think of it... I guess revs don't matter so much as it would really depend on what revs you are at in relation to how much you are using the clutch and throttle... so it'd be hard to really say 'this is the formula for smooth U-turn'...

1st gear tends to act more sensitive to throttle position and can be more jerky no matter what revs or what bike you are on, so I do recommend 2nd gear regardless of how you tackle your U-turns at this time.

Yessss , my bikes on the 3 jet carbs, idles fine but hates pulling bellow 2 - 2.500 rpm then accelerates perfectly fine , just one of those things you get used to

It could help to turn your idle adjustment up just a tad. 

Other than that looks like everyone else has experienced this and just let it go.

I wouldn't suggest increasing idle, if you sit I traffic a bunch

My bike idles perfect at 1500 rpm revs just seem hesitant until just over 2k rpm it was like
This when i bought it , after first service , after performance exhaust , after k and n lunch box , after rejet and after second servic.
And after other people have reported it , to me its just a gs thing
