OT UPDATE: got a brand spanking new FZ6! (now with pics)

Wow...based on what you said.....i'm 6 inches shorter than you so both my feet may not even hit the ground at a stop.   Not a good thing for me.  A bloody deal breaker even.... :x   Still it's good to know.  From what i've read in a few places  it seems like a really good bike.  Ride safe..

Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention but I swear I remember being able to flat foot the FZ6 at the cycle show and I'm only 5'8"  :dunno:

you know what.... you may be right. I'll have to doublecheck it because I may be wrong about the height.

The one at the show was sat on 1000 times so the suspension softened just a little.  Maybe yours will soften up a little bit after you ride it for a couple weeks.

I finally got my ass and went and found a nicely paved country road with some nice turns. all I can say is wow, I love my FZ.

as for a naked version, nope, sorry the US won't be getting a naked FZ6 . I definitely would have bought it myself instead of the faired one. but I'm happy with it as it is.
