Modifying a Vance and Hines Exhaust

I may be the only one but I thought my Vance and Hines full exhaust was to loud.  Really did sound good but you attract cops and make your neighbors mad.
So I did the following:
Took out the 3 allen head screws and pulled the baffle out.
Took 3 socket head cap screws out that held on the tail piece.
Put a piece of wire mesh in between the baffle end and the tail pipe.  This keeps the pot scrubber from blowing out.
Took a stainless steel pot scrubber (new) and put it in the center pipe of the baffle assembly.
Put everything back together.
Mutes it slightly at idle and takes the edge off the scream that it had at 9,000 rpms

Bike started easily and idled fine.  Runs great through the gears with no hesitation or boggy spots.
At 70 mph you no longer feel like you should be on a race track.
You can take a long ride without ear plugs (or a headache later).

Anyway it's an easy job and at I'm pleased with the results.

Don't get me wrong I love the sound of the original pipes but not every time I get on the bike to ride into town.

I quieted mine down with a Jardine silencer put in the end.

Would you post a picture of the Jardine silencer.  Do you remember where you bought it?  I am always worried when I do a "home" fix.  Might want to use something professional in the future.
