Hey guys, I just bought a 2009 GS500F for $2800. Was that a fair price? Anyways, I can't seem to find many modifications for it (mainly seat cowls). I saw the thread about them a while back but haven't been able to find anything for sale.

So my question is what kind of modifications/accessories are available, and where can they be purchased? Thanks for any input.

Not a bad price at all.  Common modifications are exhaust (full kit or slip-on) lunchbox air filter, and rejet.  I also did an undertail kit, LED lighting, flush-mount front turn signals, and HID projector retrofit (had to open the headlamp assembly).

general cosmetic things you can do- tire valves (lol, mine were two different sizes/colors) a bungie net on the back, handlebar grips, paint the headers if yours are rusty looking, etc

Check out the wiki for many of the common mods.

One modification with the most bang for the buck is actually replacing the fork springs with something stiffer. Unless you are one of the 95lb people that the stock springs are appropriate for. Also, replacing the indicator bulbs with LEDs is quick and cheap.

Other than that, read through the build threads to see what others are doing. There are many ways to make this bike yours...not all of which are bolt-on accessories.
