Any idea what this broken green wire is for on my 2006 GS?

If wires are orange/white and green/black, it connects to an emissions solenoid on the carbs.

Yeah, it connects to the carb.  Can I just get rid of it?  Was broken when I bought it.  No emissions tests on bikes in Arizona, only cars.
