I know GStwin.com sells repair manuals, but what does one do when they need an owner's manual?

You really don't need an owner's manual, if you buy a Clymer or Haynes manual.  It has all the routine maintenance information, as well as recommended tire pressures, spark plug info, and the like (although most of that is included on safety stickers placed under the seat and perhaps other places.  If you still want one, they occasionally appear on eBay; usually at exorbitant prices for what little information they provide.  I guess a dealer can order one if it's a later model.

Yea, I have my original owners manual and barrely tells you sqaut. It is maybe 40 pages long. A service manual is much better.

Got mine from the dealer, about $12-14 if I remember.  But yea, not worth it.  I learned the hard way  :(

I didn't know there was a bracket for the helmet hanger until I saw a brief mention of it on GSTwin... so a manual probably would have helped me a bit.  In fact, I think I still hang the helmet wrong, but it works.

My Haynes manual has a brief chapter on the history of the GS fours and GS twins.  It seems to me that they could have at-least included some general owners' info, like that found in the owners' manual.  You should really only need one book.

My owners manual is very thick, same info in 6 or 7 languages, it's helpful to know how to call things in English, so I can post understandable information here... also German, Dutch, French, etc. but I doubt I'll ever check it oder than Spanish, English or German. So I could sell half of it in French, Dutch and Portuguise... he he...
